HOUSE 77 VERSION 2.2
Monday, June 30, 2003

Ye gods! Repent your sins for the end is fucking nigh! Taketh cover under the nearest big fucking boulder. That's right, not just night...FUCKING night...Yah, so I am scanning through
IMDB and I come across the releases for next week:

Legally Blonde 2: Red White & Blonde

I could go on, but I think that I will spare you my ranting in lieu of giving you time to run for that boulder in the hopes that you might actually make it.
As for me, I suddenly have faith...in the fact that Malebolgia himself has taken over the earth.

Aight, well, this is a report dealing with my previous comment about comics...that's right ladies and gents, House 77 will soon be graced with the hilarity of a House 77 comic...or something similar to that...or something. It'll probably be ready in a week or so, with any luck anyway. Well...probably closer to two weeks. Course, I said I'd have it done in a week to begin with...and I've already like...tripled that amount of time...aight...well, let's put it this way, it will be done in less time than the updated website took!!!!...I think...

Raging Alcoholic Boy Drunk Report:

...yah I was sick last night...sooo shit all to talk about! Let us hope that other people have stories to share...like Hendrix did!

Dude, so I'm walking around 90 party enjoying myself and chatting it up with Martin and Andrew. Matt and Rich come by, party goes on. I talk to Rich, the same guy I was about to fight during our second party last year. Yea turns out the dude is fucken sick on guitar. He's like "Man, I have a studio in my basement", little old me curious about the dude's gear goes down to their house. First off I didn't know Matt played drums... the dude's set is so pretty I almost hugged it when I saw it. Then I look around the basement. Dude has a mixer tied up to his puter which allows 8 digital and 8 analogue channels. Eye pans to the right, Marshall stack is sitting beside his bed. His guitar is autographed by members of IME. I tell the guy about my delay pedal hunt, he shows me the effects he has. While we're jamming he's asking me about some chicks at the party whether the guys they were with were involved. I tell him no. We come back girls are going home. Rich, same dude I was gonna fight for making a momma's joke whilst I was "Fight Hendrix" turned out to be pretty fucken cool. I"m pretty sure if he didn't show me his guitars and gear he would've hook up with these chicks haha.

Attention Drivers:
This is what I want to know...why do 30 over the limit in a 40 zone....and then stay at the same speed in an 80 zone? You break the law in the first case and in the latter you are being a nuisance to other cars trying to pass you. Now, I do not want you to break the law necessarily, do 80 in an 80 zone, all the power to you if you do because speeding is badness. But seriously now...why must you insist upon speeding in the slower zones and then not speeding up? And even if you do speed up, it takes you five kilometers to do it. And of course then you speed.

- - - - NEWS FLASH - - - -

THIS DOES NOT GET YOU TO YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS OR HOME FASTER!
I will get up to speed quickly and steadily, but I will not go skyrocketing past the speed limit (granted, I will break it, but not by much - mostly 10 or less over)...and meanwhile you take years to get up to your incredibly ridiculous high speed...and yet every single time you are at a stop light, I am right behind you before it turns green. When will you learn silly drivers, when will you learn?

Wow, I like kegs. I also like drinking them. Fun was had by all (including some guys from Ottawa or Mississauga or something that just kind of showed up...yah...that was...weird...) and there were good times and good jokes. As Graham has already mentioned on Swank, he and I took direct hits with water balloons. And I would like to reiterate his point here...really now...who has water balloons in their washroom??? I think the answer can clearly be summed up in one word:
Monkeys. Damned dirty apes!!! (before any of YOU monkeys point it out, yes yes I know, monkeys aren't apes)

Anyway yah...I got like four hours sleep last night (I fucking hate sunlight...stupid sun...waking me up all the time...bah) so I don't have a whole lot more to add really. Just plain good times is all - and tonight who knows what other business will go down. House 90 is apparently having a party...maybe I'll see you there. Yah, that's right...YOU. You sexy thing you. Yah that's right, shake it for papa. Er...uh...right, I need sleep. Sorry.

sooooooooooooooooo.... at the spadina subway station we (me, jenn, lauren, kristina) are going to wait for the street car and find out that it's not running instead we have to take this bus, and there's this dude who walks up behind us. well. really i wouldn't call him a "dude". he was crazy. like "escaped from a psych hospital crazy". first he says to lauren, "what's wrong with toronto?", thinking he meant "what's wrong with the streetcar?" she said "i dunno" and they he says "of course you don't you white bitch."

from there things only got scarier and weirder. he goes outside the station and starts spitting at us through the glass, and talking shit or something, we can't hear him, then he comes in and starts saying shit to this dude using the pay phone. then we go to get on the bus we're gonna take and he get's on after us. next he says some shit about "this nation, look at you, fucking canadians. white people. walking around, all smiling, look at you, you're all killers." and then something about "you fucking kkk mutherfuckers, you're killers, putting people in the hospital and making them have heart attacks, KILLERS!"

i think you get the picture. but hey, wait, that's not all. then he starts going off about how jenn has sars (cause she's chinese), and then this black dude gets on and he's swearing at him too. then lauren kinda laughs about it, and he starts saying "yeah, look at you laughing, i'll come up there and spit in your face." then some more mumbling about killers and hospitals and heart attacks. or something.

really kinda scary. here i am thinking, dude. i hope he doesn't have a knife, or a gun or something. all i need is to get shot.

this whole time he's been sitting at the back of the bus. and we're at the front. then lauren and kristina laugh again, and he comes up, stomping, angry-like, with his arms all crossed, mumbling shit, and staring us down, and sits like RIGHT next to lauren.

at this point lauren was pretty scared.

then we're like, "hey, bus driver, can we get off at the next stop?" and he's like yeah. it's right here. and we got off and went to 7-11 and bought some DR. PEPPER slurpees. this much was good.

then some dude get's kicked out of 7-11 for stealing a chocolate bar.

then i'm like, "mmmmmmmmmmmm, dr. pepper slurpee... this is good" :-)

and then we walked home all thankful that that crazy psycho scary guy didn't get off with us and follow us home.

phew... so, to summarize.

#1 i will never again go east of Yonge on the subway cause people are crazy and psycho and shit over there.
#2 jenn does not have sars.
#3 dr. pepper slurpees are good.
#4 i am still alive.

peace out.

Just to let you all know, Hendrix will be leaving us soon. His destination? Well, we don't know, we sold him to Chinese slave drivers today in order to buy a beer fridge. Quite frankly, we don't care much - our beers are DAMNED cold now. Beer is good, but beer chilled in a beer fridge bought with money we got from illegally selling Hendrix to the Chinese is much better.

- - - - - - COMIC UPDATE - - - - - -

Due to recent comments made, I have decided that Hendrix's character will now become either Hendrixetta, or will will be replaced by a toilet-bowl cleaner. It's a tough call at the moment but odds are he will become a toilet-bowl cleaner, as that is easier to draw.

PS - Update THAT bitch!

I think those drugs Paul took earlier this week are finally showing their effects. Next he'll want an upgrade for his penis. Haha hate to burst your bubble but I don't think anything is compatible with that either! hahaha ooooooo man... that's some good shit haha.

So I have been working on sketches for the comic, so far just really basic shit, I gotta figure out how to do cartoony stuff...and I say to myself "Hey, why not some stuff by hand." After all, I am used to pencils and whatnot, and I still feel I have greater control with an actual pencil. So I get started and I'm going along, and I make what I felt was a mistake, so what do I do? Well, I am sketching on my desk next to my computer, and my hand reaches for Ctrl-Z. I press this and my computer beeps at me. And I'm like "What the fuck? It's not gone."

It took me about a second or so to then realize that I was in fact working on this new shit that they recently developed called "paper" and that unfortunately it wasn't compatible with my computer yet. I was hoping that they would have a new version out that would be compatible, but as far as I know, version 2.0 of this whole "paper" thing is still in the works, and they haven't released a patch for the current version. Psh...it's been around like 2000 years, you'd think they'd have faster updates than that. Hell, even Microsoft is faster than that. In any case, until they have that new version, I suppose i'll just have to stick to that infernal device called an "eraser." From what I know, that is still in version 1.0 too...bah...keep up with the times people!!!

All right, this is a comment to those who previously commented on my post about the lostprophets album:

Musical taste cannot be defined by anyone, and throwing out a whole bunch of styles and names and such gets no one anywhere. "Nu-metal" has a thousand faces, as does "indie" and as does "music" itself. Some people appreciate music for the emotions evoked by a song, others enjoy it for the personal meaning that is conveys through the lyrics, some enjoy it for the skills involved in pulling off a complicated drum solo or a mind-boggling guitar solo, and some people just like it because it makes them feel happy. Stop trying to quantify what is good and what is bad. No one will ever win the argument because no one is arguing the same thing.

I initially made the comment about the band because I know that the four of us from House 77 enjoyed the band's first album, and I knew that while Brad would probably be aware of it, Hendrix and Andy wouldn't have, and as such, I felt like informing them of it. I was not trying to sell the band to others who do not enjoy the music, nor was I trying to spark such heated debate. I do not care if you don't like the band, but don't turn what was a seemingly innocent comment into a debate using snide remarks and sarcastic rebuttles. And in case Des and Jona think I am being unfair here and trying to stick to Brad's side...I am going to point out things that both sides said that were definitely not in the spirit of this website (unless it's one member of H77 bashing another).

Des: "as I am not an angry male between the ages of 16-25." - That is stereotyping, and uncalled for.

Brad: " i guess since they shower, and stuff makes them wAYYY to mainstream for you guys" - Again, stereotyping, and turns what was otherwise a difference of opinions into a war of words and insults.

Jona: "we'll grow some tolerance for yer shit music, if you can grow some tolerance for the fact that not everyone's going to like yer shit music?" - This comment was trying to say something that was worthy to say - that tolerance should go both ways. But you purposefully antagonized the situation through sarcasm.

Brad: "congrats on being 'indie' as if it's a title that's worth anything." That is a personal attack on a persons taste. Also unnecessary, and going beyond the discussion, which originally was about one band.

SK: "Hypocrits suck. That is all." Name-calling never accomplishes anything.

All right, you get the picture. There are a lot more that I could comment on, but I hope that you get the idea at this point. Brad, you made a post where you alluded to the fact that the girls started the argument - from where I sit, it seems to me that they just stated their opinions, and then you provoked more heated debate. However, Jona and Des, you both fervently argue that you are tolerant of different musical opinions - well if that is the case, then try to be a bit more considerate to the views that people express on the website. If you don't like what we say, then by all means tell us, but try to do so in a way that isn't sarcastic or insulting. And to you SK: Yah, I'm a hypocrit, cuz I have probably insulted more people/organizations/things on this website than I can count on my fingers and toes, but I never take these arguments to such ridiculous lengths.

All right, let all the scathing comments about what I just said be unleashed upon me! Oh yah, and the original post has been most definitely deleted. Let's all just get along and not start up the debate again.

PEACE!

Raging Alcoholic Boy Drunk Report:
I nearly damn well forgot to write it for Friday this week, might have something to do with the fact that I didn't actually drink last night. Instead, I got high. Very high. Stupidly high. So high it felt like I was falling. Oh wait, I was, right into a pillow, cuz god damn I was tired. Very tired. Stupidly tired. So tired it felt like I was sleeping. Oh wait, I was, right in a pillow, cuz god damn I was done. Very done. Stupidly done. Just like this terrible repetitious joke.

So in conclusion: Weed is good. Weed and staring up at a ceiling fan is better. Weed, with aforementioned ceiling fan and trippy guitar effects courtesy of Sam Roberts is the best. Oh yah, and being with friends who were high and playing with Lego. I have never seen so many Lego creations resembling the male genetalia in my life. It was disturbing really. But then again, the fact that five so-called adults were playing with Lego, laughing over nothing, and ultimately accomplishing nothing, should really be disturbing enough already.

RE: comments on previous posts

So who saw this coming... yepp... and who thinks Bill and Ted aren't making their album of universal music fast enough to diffuse these crazy go nuts arguments that basically show people aren't the same. Why do you think people have headphones? It's so they can listen to the shit they want to listen to in peace. I'm guessing you must be indie sk? So in your mission to become individualistic and original you try and fit into another predifined category. No one here has labelled themselves as "indie", I'm the biggest poser you'll find, but if you think we're hypocrits you can simply close the bloody window. Lastly, no one should impose their preferences in music to anyone else. Cuz you know I love reading about how so and so is shit, and the shit that they're shitting out is shit. Common now.

Boat Race

In this event, four team members each have 2 - 10 fluid ounce glasses with 8 fluid ounces of beer placed in front of them. The game commences after the World Beer Games official starting light reaches green.

The first member of the team lifts one of the glasses, drinks the contents and places the empty glass on the timing device. As soon as the empty glass is placed on the table the second member lifts one of his/her glasses from the table, drinks the contents and places the empty glass on the table. This process repeats for player three and four.

Player four “rounds the corner” by lifting and drinking his/her first ½ pint and then drinking his/her second pint and sends the relay back to player three, then two and finally one.

The following rules apply to the Boat Race:

A. Official glass is 10 fluid ounces

B. Official amount of beer in each glass is 8 fluid ounces.

C. Each ½ pint glass must start and end bottom down.

D. All participants must be standing with both feet on floor or kneeling (unless contestant is handicapped).

E. All participants must start with lifting hand near but not touching the glass.

F. Non-lifting hand must be placed behind back unless you are the “anchor” who can have both hands available.

G. Athletes may position their face and hands as close to the glass as they wish – provided no part of their body makes contact with the glass prior to the start.

H. Timing begins when starting light reaches green.

I. Athletes who lift pint glass from platform before green light will be charged with a false start.

J. Each athlete is allowed one false start.

K. Athletes with two false starts are disqualified from the heat.

L. Players must drain entire contents of ½ pint glass before placing glass back on the platform.

M. The limited spill rule is in effect. Loss of liquid from the glass, which delivers an excessive amount of spillage onto the participant, will result in disqualification by the referee. This will be at the discretion of the referee and judging committee.

N. There is a Residual Liquid Allowance of ¼ oz as denoted by line on bottom of official glass. If any liquid remains above the line contestant is disqualified.

I'm killing time before I pass out.

I've noticed something about Weezer's In the Garage. Ok, so during the solo... at about 2:40min ... nono its 2:36, when that part plays I always look around the room because it sounds like someone beside me is humming that part of the song. Its actually another guitar... I think, or another quietly dubbed voice. Just sounds cool... that is all

haha and fuck I need new songs.

Time again for another Raging Alcoholic Boy Drunk Report:

So I managed to make it to Madison's this time around. Jesse, Eric, and myself being the main players in this little escapade. Brad, Rob and Kittmer all made guest appearances along the way, all adding to the funness. The day started out with a walk to Brad's to pick him up from Jen's, then we went off to see the Matrix in IMAX format. I have to admit, it was better seeing it the second time because I wasn't so horrified by the ending - don't get me wrong however, I still detest the way they ended it, I just was expecting it this time, making it more tolerable. The trailer for Matrix: Revolution, however, was most definitely cool, I predict much shit to be blown up, which is always good. In any case, we shall all know how it goes soon enough, November if I am not mistaken.

Next on the list was a trip back to Jesse's to wait for Rob and Kittmer. Brad also made a pit stop at Jen's work, then Jen's...then discovered he couldn't get in, and headed to us. So we all then waited for Rob and Kittmer, who were just a TAD late (like an hour, jesus, they didn't even leave till when they were supposed to meet up with us, oh well) And then when all were accounted for, we headed to a Firkin to grab some fine firkin fare, and enjoy some pints, oh enjoy we did. Very good food, I am impressed to say the least, and they even had a vegetarian section, most definitely cool.

Then, we headed to Madison's...Brad and Jen, alas, were unable to attend, but the rest of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, although we were unable to grab a table on the main patio, so we were forced upstairs to seek out seats there. We found a nice place to sit and then we were told it was reserved for what we can only assume was a bachelor's party...they jokingly told us that if we bought the man of the hour drinks we would be welcome...and considering the excellent seats, we happily offered to each buy him one...or even two. The first reaction was interest, then followed by horror from the man, as he realized that 10 shots would probably be the end of him, considering he had probably already had a few too many. In any case we were forced into exile into the basement patio - though I am not suggesting this is a bad thing, as it is just as classy and busy and fun. In any case - mucho drinks, good atmosphere, and many lovely ladies, indeed a good night.

To conclude it all, I purchased a lovely pipe and some tobacco to enjoy, so no more cigars for myself anymore, I'm all about the pipe. Although dear god, it cost me, I spent something like 160 bucks yesterday (including a father's day gift) So I am hurting money wise right now, gotta put a cap on that. So I do believe that next week, my drunk report will have to come from my boat!

Oh yes, Friday, I nearly forgot. Quick recap: Hendrix, House 90 boyz, me. Drinks at Mulli's, karaoke, some tabacco of the whacky variety...all in all a good night.

Btw, Brad, you still owe me some drinks!

Peace all! See you next week
Same Bat time.

Just got back from Duke of Marlboro (supposedly haunted bar in sauga). House 90 (Travis, Ben, Martin, sir Dan) played some tunes for open mic. Travis and Martin played some Matthew Good, Bare Naked Ladies, and covered some other band. Sounded fucken good. Travis went back up and covered Say it ain't so with some random dude. End of the night I ask the MC (blues playing mofo) if he wanted to jam. Look on his face when he heard this filipino punk with gogs keep pace with his cover of Buddy Guy was classic. Spanks 90, fun night.

First off congrats on vis cult sir Day. Program and classes look wicked. Secondly the joke was I was quitting and blogging... THAT'S THE JOKE! now laugh! anyway I will actually throw a no net weekend. If you guys wanna bet on that you are welcome to... if I didn't have to use the net for labs then I would have liked to try no computer/tv for two weeks... which I may try the two last weeks of August. Saw some weird people today:

- one lady with copious amounts of makeup began to use hairspray on the bus, u could see the nastiness floating around her
- Gentleman relieved his seat for an old lady and proceeded to ask her for some money
- witnessed a teenage couple using a bus stall as their own private bedroom... should have told that little G to use the bus stalls in Toronto, they're flatter and don't have that bar in the middle therefore allowing for greater maneuverability

oh yea Choke is too funny. Denny is ALWAYS in stocks, our hero Victor scores the hot doctor, and the stupid little boy and his mom just keep running. Cool book Brad. Started reading it on the way to school today and I'm a little bit past a third of the book. Dunno if that means its good or if the bus ride takes years. Think its both.

*sigh* resuming 202 lab now, got an A on the mid-term though, gya! Can I use that as an excuse to
slack?

Oh shit, the funniest thing happened today, I couldn't believe it...I was damned near crying it was so much gold. Like my sides hurt, my stomach was in agony, and I couldn't breathe. I seriously felt like I was going to pass out from the lack of oxygen. THAT is how funny it was...
Anyway, what happened was Hendrix said he was quitting from the Internet at his computer. Isn't that hilarious? Like seriously, that's like suggesting a human can live without air or water.

So, the debate is: How long will he last? I'm betting four days tops.

And then in similar news, my dial up account dies today, and interestingly enough, my high speed modem hasn't arrived yet. This might be an issue. As I don't WANT to quit the Internet but I might have to soon...people...help me...PLEASE.

Loyal readers of h77. I need your help. I have a problem, I can't seem to pry myself off the dog. My eyes are beginning to hurt (more than usual), and my face is turning a pasty white. Solution: No Internet!!! That's right I'm calling it quits. I am retiring the dog, putting it to sleep if you will. I will go outside, soak in the sun, and breathe fresh air. I know all you think I can't do it, that's why I'll log every single day without the net on the blog!

Raging Alcholoc Boy Drunk Report:

So much for Madison's. The folk formerly from Mayfield S.S met up at Raxx in Brampton where we were then meant to head off to the fabulous downtown bar, and yet our pasts caught up with us as we ran into our friend Lex. Lex informed us that local Brampton band The Junction (led by friends Brent, Jaimo, Mikey and Joel) was playing at Raxx that night. So we stayed there, and yet again saw The Junction in fine form (I think this is now the 8th or 9th time I've come out to their shows)

Lex then invited the whole lot of us back to his house for a little after-party. To sum that part of the evening up: my sides still hurt from laughter. Joel is a fucking riot, as is Mikey, good times in Brampton (I didn't know that was even possible)

We then headed over to Denny's as we had the munchies (with good reason *hint hint*). Now...I have known for a long time that the people at Denny's who work the night shift are not always too bright...but there is one particular gentleman who I have grown to despise quite rightly. He has worked there a good five years and he always works the night shift. I can't really understand why he hasn't been promoted to the day shift yet most of the time, but last night he proved to me why he is stuck there...After making us wait for a good 45 minutes to even take our fucking drinks order, I asked for the BBQ burger except with the boca pattie (being vegetarian and all). So twenty minutes later...I get:
Bacon and cheddar burger with boca pattie.

...bacon...
Meat.
Also not what I ordered.
I then had to pay by credit card because the jackasses at Denny's are ripping us off by not accepting debit cards and then having one of those "ATM" machines - that is...not a bank machine, but a third party machine that costs a fucking fortune...and gives part of the profits to Denny's. So I paid by credit card...and then the stupid fucking waiter made me wait TWENTY MINUTES. TWENTY!!!! To get my god damned cheque paid!!!!! If I could TAKE money from him for his tip, I would, good lord. Suffice to say I hate Denny's yet again...I should have known better!!

BAH! Anyway, enough of this badness, the weekend rocked, and next weekend will rock even more with an entire day spent in downtown T.O with good friends and good food and good drinks!

Attempt number 69 to login into blogger. Good night last night. Played hotel california and samba pa ti with the Rickster. After we played two kids danced to the ketchup song... stole the damn show! Either way, open bar and beautiful filipinas were key. Today's plan: ??? Sir Cale still downtown, I think someone ate him or something. Boys at 90 having a
bbq, I'll bring some dogs maybe, dunno, feel burnt the fuck out.

So I am going to start a new series online here, a regular feature if you will. Every weekend I will discuss the goings on of at least one of the members of House 77 (me, in other words) I call it:
RAGING ALCOHOLIC BOY DRUNK REPORT!!!!

Yah I know, pretty gay name, whatever, as Liam Lynch would put it. It IS my United States of Whatever...or Canada, whatever...shut up.

So anyway, went to Milwaukee's last night with the ever lovely ladies Jen, Natalia, and Lauren, and the ever-intoxicated gentlemen Brad, Jesse and Rockey. It was Jen's birthday, and fun was had by all...although I would like to point out I got kicked out for falling asleep. Deja vue of Peel Pub now flooding through my memory. Anyway, whatever, I was damned tired, I was more than willing to stumble my way home at that point. Still had fun, it's a nice place when you are drunk, although it has a major issue in my opinion...a place either needs a good dance floor, or entertainment like a TV or pool, or a lot of room to sit and chat. One of these three concepts must be spread throughout a bar in order for people to enjoy themselves. Milwaukee's attempts to use all three...which is a mistake, as three smaller parts do not make a whole. There are not enough pool tables. There is not enough sitting room, and the dance floor equated to maybe the size of the House 70 living room.
Anyway that is just my opinion, overall it was fun, and I am glad we went to it, it's someplace new, and I'm sure I'll end up there again one day, hopefully with another 12 pack in me (christ I drank a lot last night)

Join me next week when I discuss the pros and cons of the US-Israeli Road Map peace agreement...yah...right...orrrr I'll talk about how I got shitfaced and ended up being awoken by a police officer.
"Doog orning occifer...I could ave sworn dis curb was muy beddd.."

Call the house and I'll get the number for you. I suggest you give them a call... dunno what you gonna do since you're at the awa. Mappy Birthday to miss Jennifer. Brad, Paul, and others partying it up downtown. Me, I'm a poor bum who can't afford a night out on the town. Plus I had to learn some songs for tomorrow. Its my first gig in years man haha. My head isn't right after the night before either. Oooo and today "Jitters" is born! You guys will love him... I hope.

It appears that Jessica Alba didn't get her invitation for "Jessica Alba Week". Must've gotten lost in the mail or something. Either way the festivities will commence, starting with the annual cleaning of the kitchen. And to honor miss Alba's hotness I'll be doing my laundry later tonight, all are welcome to fold my underwear. I can't wait... be there or be square!

I'll be the limping filipino kid riding the 510 Spadina streetcar then riding the subway to Islington station to hop on the good old dependable sauga transit, 26A and transferring at Square fun to catch the 34 home... all with three text books and two chubby's in my bag. BAH! At least beach volleyball rocks.
