ok. for serious, harold and kumar go to whitecastle is fucking hilarious.

Wow. I am EXHAUSTED. Long day at work with a lack of sleep followed by more driving than you can shake a stick at. Dan and Ben from 90 joined Brad, Jen and myself to see Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. We decide to go to the Grande in Brampton. Sold out. Fuck. We then go to CourtneyPark AMC. We'd have to wait an hour and a half. Fuck. We arrive at the Winston Churchill AMC. Brad, Jen, Dan and I get tickets. Ben uses the ATM ticket dispenser. Apparently it says sold out for Harold and Kumar. Fuck. But as luck would have it, it was just the machine. So after much effort, we see the comic genius of Harold and Kumar. Honestly, I just have to think of Neil Patrick Harris saying "I made some love stains in the back" and I laugh. So good. Such a great stoner movie, and I saw it 100% sober. So funny, go and see it. I think it's bedtime for me.

ok so today andy and i are walking to Loblaws, just down the side of the superwide ssauga style road and the guy, he musta been like 19 maybe, he slowly drives by, honks his horn at us, then gives us the finger. andy and i were, to say the least... confused. but it was pretty funny.

then i watched
Searching For Bobby Fischer. it was definitely enjoyable. later i was off to work to help get some stuff done at Sunrise. cause well, imma super star and they need me when the going gets tough.

G-g-g-g-UNIT!

Waddup nuts?  Just sitting in my b-boy seat as my buddy Lee says.  Nothing new going on really.  Just sipping on some milk and listening to some beasties.  Why post then?  Why the hell not I say!  I got bloggin' rights so Imma abuse them.

I dunno if I informed the general public but I have finally attained the elusive Digital Delay pedal.  The Boss DD-3 for those playing at home.  She handles like a wet dream.  It's tons of fun and worth braggin' about.  Brag brag brag.  I need an AC adapter for it though, it guzzles 9 volts pretty fast.  If we chugged batteries during boatraces it'd be the anchorman.  Luckily we chug beers and Paul Day's job is safe.  Hey Paul, don't quit your "Day" job!

I'm finally writing my memory assignments for Engerlish class.  I wrote out this poem today, but I think I fuct up "rise" with "sing".  They look the same I guess.  Well maybe if you tilt your head a bit.  Yea school is aight.  I am no longer in denial about being a student during the summer months, it's what I do I guess.

I also raced this 50-year-old dude at the Gonzaga track today.  Dude smoked me.  No kidding he lapped me like twice.  He did it with ease and style too.  Don't under estimate your elders, they have magical powers which we cannot begin to understand.

"Rainy day, dream away
Ah let the sun take a holiday
Flowers bathe an' ah see the children play
Lay back and groove on a rainy day."

I just finished watching The Butterfly Effect (director's cut) with my parents...and you know what? I genuinely enjoyed it. Ashton Kutcher really surprised me with his acting. I knew he was a bright kid (owing to his biochemical engineering endeavour at university), but I have always questioned his acting ability up to now, I think he did a bang-up job. The writing was fresh (haha "fuckbag"...more movies need that word), the cinematography was artsy, the acting was good, and the entire premise of the film was really intriguing. Go see it my monkey army! Be off with you!

...fuckbag, hahahaha

Last night dad handed me a box. Contained within that box was a
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ-10S-K digital still camera. His new toy, a retirement gift to himself I suppose. Anyway, I went nuts, please take a gander at the results:

The obligatory Venne photo.
Some purple flowers.
Some yellow flowers.
Some grass(no, not that kind)
Lions and tigers and bears oh my!
The second obligatory Venne photo.
The stream in the front yard, that I built with my own two hands!!!

im waiting
like tomorrow
to take you by the hand
and lead you into forever
sweeten up my land
sadness takes it times to leave it
always seems to be

Today I woke up to a phone call from my manager.  She said I don't have to work on Saturday, bonus.  I figure this is an open door to Scarborough and opportunity to have mad adventures with Captain Pitcher.  Together we battle the evils of Team Sobriety and the No-fun bandits.

I get my ass to school where I am informed there is an 8 page essay due next Tuesday, and a proposal for a 15 page group essay due in early August.  Our second essay in poetry is also being assigned.  So to recap, I am down 3 memory assignments, 2 poetry essays, 1 cct206 essay, cct206 proposal, and a fucken partridge in a pair tree.

Captain Pitcher, I regret to inform you that I will be crossing over and joining Team Sobriety for the next few weeks.  Don't worry though.  I'll be a double agent and report back through Mary Jane Watson.

Well....registration was mostly painless. They have streamlined the process by changing the way ROSI works. If a course only has one lecture and no practical, then you no longer have to enter in the lecture code (ie. 6001, 0101...) That made things fly. Also, the fact that the server wasn't totally bogged down was nice, I admit. I didn't get into WRI303 but I assume that is because I am not allowed to try for it until later. For now I have replaced it with CCT400 instead.

As for that whole graduation crap. Yah, VCC cancelled two courses and moved another, and simply put it made things very difficult for me based on what it said I needed for VCC to graduate. As far as I can tell what I have now is as good as it gets, considering the number of class conflicts, etc etc. But still, the lack of class choice is awful, and I wish they werent as wishy-washy about changing courses so willy-nilly. haha, just had to do that. ANyway, wooooo now I can forget about this shite till September when my sexy three day a week schedule commences.

ok that was cool, for the first time ever rosi gave me no issues hahah and it took me like less than 3 minutes.
here's the damage.

Man you should have been there! It was like all the planets were aligned perfectly at 7:45am this morning. It was like the victory of an underdog against the champ. It was like Mario kicking Bowser's ass. It was magnificent. I got into all my courses on ROSI!!! First round KO baby! That shit never happens.

I owe it to constant exercise of the NUM pad, and extensive CTRL+C and CTRL+V pilates. Yea I copied and pasted my list... I figure it gave me an unfair advantage. Don't tell UTM I might get disqualified... oh yea and better forget the drug test as well.

Tentative Course Selection:

Set A)
HIS313Y5 - Canadian Labour
SOC317Y5 - Industrial Sociology
FAS232H5 - Print Media I
ERI260H5 F - Organizational Behaviour

Set B)
CCT310H5 F - Mass Communication and Popular Culture
CCT352H5 F - History and Practice of Design
CCT345H5 F - Developing and Managing Networks
CCT370H5 S - Introduction to Computer Visualization
CCT351H5 S - Theory and Practice of Animation (CCT370 as prerequisite)
CCT307H5 S - Language, Interaction and Society

I'm going to take everything in Set A for sure. I need to decide on one fall course and two spring courses in Set B. From the course descriptions, I'm afraid CCT352 is going to bum, borrow, and bite CCT204. CCT307 also sounds like CCT202's evil twin.

I'm also thinking about dropping that sex course this summer. I need time allotted for nothing, and maybe get lost somewhere. If even for a day I'd be happy.

So...I was gonna write a very, very long post about CCIT and VCC, and their ineptitude. But I won't. Let's just say, that since they've CANCELLED three REQUIRED courses, I no longer have the ability to complete VCC or GRADUATE from Erindale. Unless they give me the option to take other courses that arent requirements and count that towards my VCC, I am basically fucked. And if that is the case, THEN I will write a long post, and bitch out CCIT like its never been bitched out before.

Dear Diary,

I was looking over next years classes. Final year. Yea I'm putting that thought in the distance for now. It can mean last year of good times with the boys, or the last year of essays and all nighters. Have you ever seen two colors of play-doh all mixed up and mushed together? Imagine one color being happy and the other sad. That's how I feel about that. Just a giant ball of indistinguishable shit. Whatever, we'll sculpt that play-doh when we get there.

I have mad choices over next year's classes. Thing is, the CCITs offered don't sound all too appealing. Nothing that reads, "CCT666H5: Sick-Ass-Class", most process like this "CCT000H5: Better-bring-a-pillow-to-this-class-Zzz". As harsh as they sound I'm gonna end up taking them all, I rather be a CCIT punk than and Indusrial Relations hooligan. Plus it'd be nice to see some familiar faces.

Gonna hit the streets with the Filipino mafia. Peace and take care.

Tuesdays and Thursdays officially suck. So much class I want to die. Found out Melissa is in my CCT206 class, coolness. You guys had Wensley right? Cool guy, relevant issues... but 5 minutes into the class and I want to blow my brains out. If I wasn't nodding off I'd be squirming in my seat. It doesn't help it's held in those prison classrooms in South. You know the ones with the concrete walls, no windows, and chairs so close to eachother ur binder flops over the kid's seat beside you? I'm thinking I should just skip class and rely on WebCT.

Brad is back home from his hiatus, I haven't seen him yet but there's a plastic bag full of controllers cooling down in the living room.

I'm out, gotta shop for a new strap for my air guitar, last one was crap.

Okay, movies I want to see:
The Hunting of the President Ahhh Bill.
Strayed Emmanuelle Beart *growlll*
Cellular Kim Basinger *growlll* And Jason Statham, he's cool.
The Aviator (I hate DiCraprio but it's got Alan Alda, and it's about Howard Hughes and planes...I gotta.
The Polar Express Ever since CGI became viable to create entire films, I've loved kids movies again, and this one looks amazing.
Facing Windows I do like me my foriegn flicks.
She Hate Me The premise for this seems hilarious, and it seems pretty insightful too, and it's a SPike Lee film *cough* sorry, joint.
The Corporation Documentaries are taking over reality television. THANK GOD.
Finding Neverland I think Johnny Depp has found another winner.
Shark Tale A vegetarian shark, I can sympathize.

Okay that is my...like...twelve cents.

INCUBUS REPORT:
First the bad - missed Sparta. By like a half hour. We were there at 7:40....forty minutes after doors open. WTF??? That sucked. Also, what the hell was up with the playlist? It was missing Summer Romance, The Warmth (dear GOD), Warning, and...GET THIS...they didnt play PARDON ME. WHAT THE HELL??? The song that launched their career into the mainstream and they didnt play it. Weird.

However, before you go thinking I didnt like the show - I honestly felt it was one of, if not THE, best performances I've ever seen. The first five tracks (I think) were just a blizzard of hard riffs and awesome moshing songs. I think they then played the most spectacular rendition of Drive you've ever heard. It was AWESOME. The lighting was WICKED too - and the backdrop was is stolen from Wish You Were Here's "the sky resembles a backlit canopy with holes punched in it" - you surely must be able to picture it with that.

They also started into Vitamin (and here is where it became the best EVER) and they had the drummer, bassist, and Brandon...one not one...but two drum kits....and Brandon on the bongos...that's right...nothing but a drum trio, for like fivve minutes. Then their drummer went for like TEN, on a solo. I've seen maybe 40 concerts in my years, and I've NEVER seen a REAL drum solo like that. The audience was a MADHOUSE of energy, we all went insane for it. Another highlight was Mike doing a guitar solo WITHIN a guitar solo during Sick Sad Little World. Gah...I could go on but you get the idea, they were full of energy, played an eclectic mix of songs, mixed it up a ton and really entertained. I really, really enjoyed myself. Incubus ROCK.

Good evening all. My neck is fucked up. I need to turn my shoulders to see to my side. And as I continue to type the bobble head on my monitor continues to mock me with his infinite range of motion. Fuck you Sparky. Yea besides getting locked out, passing out on the floor, and not telling someone they rock and you dig them a lot, it was a fun night. It was an intimate and interactive experience that got a little hazy near the end.

The course is called "Reading Poetry" but I can't help but feel inspired and express my thoughts with the power of words.

Summer Daze, By Hendrix Frost

July is here and you got plenty to fear,
Roll up the cheeb and pack the beer
Me and the boys gonna cause a lil trouble,
Piss off some people while we tailgate on the shuttle
Fuck it cuz we're alive,
Don't call me radio, unit 95
I should stop these words cuz this is gettin' lame,
I'll continue cuz I'm just showing ya'll how we play the game

I just today discovered the absolute poetic genius of Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse. What he writes and sings is absolutely amazing.

"The moths beat themselves to death against the lights, adding their breeze to the summer nights."

"I know that starting over's not what life is about, but my thoughts were so loud I couldn't hear my mouth."

"You wasted life, why wouldn't you waste death?"

"Everyone's a building burning with no one to put the fire out."

RAGING ALCOHOLIC BOY DRUNK REPORT ***SPECIAL EDITION***
When? Canada Day Long Weekend
What? A kegger foo'!
Who? A whack-o-people.
Why? Why the hell not?
Where? ...you must obviously have never read this Blog if you don't know where.

Good times anyway. A smaller gathering that was still successful and pretty entertaining. Met this nice gent Ian who gave me a number to fax people a resume to for work at the airport - I might take him up on that offer for part-time work come September. There was lots of drinking, lots of closer friends and intimate little chats on the floor, I like that. Even went pretty late too, which was great - minus the obvious fact that no one will get any sleep (that sucks Stella, read your post, those bastards! not letting you know ahead of time that you could have slept in, haha) All in all a good night.

As for me, I wish that I was anywhere, with anyone, making out. (actually no, but I am listening to that song)

Till next time children.

First things first:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! Yah, hers is right after Canada Day. She'll never read this but I figured I'd put it up anyway. Tonight I make her a shrimp specialty I did a lot before I went veggie. I think it's been two years since we had it last and she always loved it, so there you go. But yes, Happy 27th Birthday Mrs. Elizabeth Mary Day!

: : : : : RAGING ALCOHOLIC BOY DRUNK REPORT : : : : :

Soooo being as I had today (Thursday, Canada Day, sweet sweet Canada) off of work, I decided to head to House 70 last night to drink wit' ma' boyzzzz(zzzz). And I drank and drank and drank. Wow...I forgot how much fun being drunk and playing Halo can ultimately be. It is perhaps the single best entertainment possible with absolute last minute notice. And the best thing EVER was this morning when I woke up at about 6:00am (mmm mmm work habits and sunlight) and jumped up in my (I would like to emphasize this...MY...MINE) bed thinking "Oh shit, I have to get ready for work...oh wait, haha *whew* I haven't got work today....wait....where the fuck am I???" It is a sad, sad day when I am in my OWN bed and ask where the fuck I am. Good ol' alcohol!
