Two things to mention here. First of all...Alexisonfire and Billy Talent are at the Operahouse on the 16th of Sept...who wants to go with me? Second of all...has anyone been to the movies lately? No? Well what a surprise, dear lord. It hit me today that the last film I saw was Pirates of the Caribbean, and before that, it was that shitty excuse of a film called the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Before that, I can't even remember. I recall seeing the Matrix Reloaded, and that is fine and all. Before that was X2...and that was at the beginning of the summer. The Italian Job was in there too, and again, that was okay...but seriously, there have been so few good films this summer it's ridiculous. Last weekend the top film in the box office was Freddy Vs. Jason with 13.1 Million dollars grossed. That is...absurd. Seriously Hollywood. MAKE GOOD MOVIES. Action films with no plot, old actors who suck, and sequels are the LOWEST form of films. The fact that this is probably one of the lowest grossing summers in years should be the tip off that people have clued in to the bullshit you feed us.

RAGING ALCOHOLIC BOY END OF SUMMER REPORT:
Yes. It is true, I have finally completely seventeen weeks of work at Caledon Propane. To celebrate, I went to Madison's with Rob, Kittmer, and Eric. Good times. Rob and Kittmer hit on Diana and Nina a lot. Diana was hot. Nina was not. I'm a poet, and I'm not aware of the fact.
Summer. Amazing. Best summer ever. Best seventeen weeks ever. Why? Just cuz, as Perry Farrell puts it. Suffice to say, I saw every last one of my friends, I hung out with them in the most kickass circumstances, and they were all at their absolute best of hilarity and frankness. Highlights included Ashley diving into Georgian Bay to get my aviators, Dan, Ryan and Adam getting drunk on the May 2-4 weekend, any times at Madison's (including tonight)...and the various Halo tourneys.
A huge hello out to those from Caledon Propane though. When I left today, my boss seemed ridiculously pleased with my track record and suggested that if I came back, even for a week, he'd give me a pay raise, which is incredible. I'll have to keep that in mind for next summer. People there were awesome, and really helped to ease any pains this summer caused.
House 77 is reuniting after a year of being apart. I am excited. More excited than I think I've ever been. I miss the boyz. I miss the spontaneous craziness and stupidity. I miss the nerd-dom. I miss the drinking...third year will top first year, I guarantee it.
Seventeen weeks. That is incredible. I don't think I've stuck to anything for seventeen weeks straight. But I managed to hold on at work. Thanks Michelle...you made that possible, you are an awesome friend.
I am a giant fucking nerd for saying all this shit but yah...this summer has been awesome people. I hope everyone else's was too. And I hope that the coming school year of 2003/2004 is just as amazing, if not better. As Mr.O'Donnell puts it far too well...here is to evil. At least in the good way.
Peace

Raging Alcoholic Boy Drunk Report: Special Edition Part Two - Sex Pistols
What to say about the show. It was loud. The Dropkick Murphy's were uber-cool, although they are clearly getting on in years, but then again they haven't got anything on the Sex Pistols. The evening was very nice though, and the CNE looked beautiful from the lawn of Molson Amphitheater. I have been to the Amphitheater on quite a few occasions, and to be honest, I am still not a terribly big fan. Granted, it gives you the full effect of a massive crowd...but without any real moshing opportunities, it really isn't well suited to the shows I tend to go to. Also, only once have I ever been lucky enough to obtain actual floor tickets...and that show got cancelled. Now, that doesn't mean I haven't breached security to get to the floor. I have. Twice. But that isn't the point, I am not fond of running for my life from big men with very big muscles, or having to risk jumping like 15 feet down to the floor from the seats...and THEN run for my life from big men with very big muscles - granted, not as far.
In any case, on to the Pistols. The first thing that struck me - fuck they are old. They are no Rolling Stones vis a vis SARSstock but they are still old geezers pretending to be still living out their youth. Johnny Rotten was not surprisingly the most immature man I think I've ever met. He pretended to be smart and have life "lessons" for the entire crowd, but considering his "education" was probably done on more chemicals than Lake Ontario has absorbed during the entire industrial age...I have a sneaky feeling that he really doesn't know shit.
Whatever, though, he was entertaining, despite being slightly egocentric, and despite his bandmates being relics from 80s arena rock - wearing tight white jeans and tshirts that bare the fruit of many years of beer consumption far too vividly for my liking. I think my favourite moment was when he first started "dancing." Were Michael Jackson, Keith Richards, and Charles Manson to have a child, the result might be Mr.Rotten, and the consequent dancing style can thus be visualized. Most of the favourite songs were played, including God Save the Queen, Anarchy in the UK, and No Fun. Strangely missing was My Way, however, which was a disappointment for me. But yah...they were entertaining in a "hey I am at a Sex Pistols show...they are punk gods, therefore this is cool" kind of way. But as far as modern entertainment value compared to real crowd pleasers or amazing artists such as Gob or Greenday or Goldfinger (the fact that those three bands all have names beginning with G is pure coincidence). Anyway, this is going on too long, thanks to Jono, Gram and Kev for the ticket, and for a good time out. A pleasure as always!
Peace

Ok, ummm yea. So the last day of summer school I was walking with Des and Andy Richter walked by us. I quickly mentioned this to Brad but I never figured it was post worthy. Today I find out he's filming a movie in toronto. Yea so what? Guess who he's filming with? Just fucken guess! Mary-Kate and Ashley freaking Olsen. The twins are in town, I repeat the twins are in town. They were filming downtown at UofT. I need a tux, two engagement rings, and an elephant so I can properly introduce myself. A camera with a telephoto lens should also come in handy. Imma phone around and see if anyone wants to come with. Boooooyea bitches!!!

I just watched the premiere of Six Feet Under on Showcase. I have to admit, I thought the hype was going to amount to a whole lot of TV nothingness like most shows do. But wow, I was quite shocked. The humour is black. The jokes are uncomfortable. The pain is painful. The happiness is cynical. The reality is real. I am definitely impressed. Watch it sometime folks.

I think it's time for a new H77 slogan. I propose the following:
1) We put the "pro" in procrastination
2) Never a smart moment
3) Up with beers, down with skirts!
4) KA-POW!!!
5) The cream filling of the Internet
6) REeeeeemmmMIXxxxXXx!!!
7) slogans are for pussies
I'm pretty sure number 3 is from somewhere... haha maybe swank.

RAGING ALCOHOLIC BOY DRUNK REPORT: SPECIAL EDITION - EDGE ISLAND!
Well, where to start. How about the beginning. Kittmer and I show up to the Edge storefront studios and see a large line up. Okay we think, this is good, we are on time and not alone. So we wonder what is going on...and then we see the rickshaws. Ooookay...people are getting in the rickshaws and being run down Yonge street towards harbourfront. So we get hooked up with an Edge Island pass, a Sloan CD single, a Hawa'ain t-shirt saying "I Survived Edge Island" and a Sloan poster. All right swag I suppose, though I would have liked the actual entire Sloan album, I think the CD single was a bit of a cop out.
So anyway, we get to harbourfront, and before us is the River Gambler, a two decked ship set up with a bar and chairs and food and such. So we set off in this boat with two free Smirnoff Ice Triple Blacks...which are the single worst drink ever, considering they are sweeter than Coca Cola, no joke - imagine getting drunk, and a sugar high at the same time, not to mention being doubly dehydrated by the alcohol and sugar. After a good hour long cruise we arrive at the shores of.....Center Island. We are right outside the airport. There are chairs and food set up outside one of the hangars. So we get off the boat, and we sit down and chill, with two free new Smirnoffs - I waved my right to them, however *shudder*. So Kittmer and I are thinking - okay....so are we eating and then flying off to some other island...or is Center Island the fabled Edge Island. Honestly, the minute we are discussing this, the hangar we are next to open's up with a stage and floor set up. Well, I guess that answered that.
So Sloan. They are skinny hippies. Opened with Underwhelmed, which was an odd decision I thought. I could go on a long time but I will point out a few simple facts. They don't have a huge amount of energy on stage, but they make up for it in style. It's hard to explain but they put on an act without having to do a whole lot of moving, so that was entertaining. Also, when the bassist gets behind the drums, the rhythm guitarist picks up a bass, and the drummer picks up a guitar and starts singing, you have to be slightly impressed. All four members sing songs, which I did not know, although I knew three did. Also, while I am a fan of a lot of their songs, I must admit I personally cannot stand a lot of the singles they have release with some of the more recent albums. However, hearing them live is a much different experience than hearing them on the radio or in MP3 format. I can assure you, it sounds far, far better live, so if you are going to Edgefest this September 6th, then you are in for a treat! Anyway yah, they are good live, I am looking forward to seeing them at Edgefest.
Finally, the band finished up, and we were told by Josie Dye - a DJ on the Edge - (who also happens to be unbelievably attractive, holy shit) that we could eat up and then we all had the option of either heading home or going to Club 102 at the Phoenix. Well, club 102 would be fun and all, but with it being just Kittmer and I, we figured we'd head to 70 and chill with Drix and Brad. ANd that we did, and played some Halo. A nice way to finish off an interesting day. Thanks to the Edge for that, and Smirnoff...well you just suck cuz the only free drinks you had was that Triple Black shite, and every other drink cost 5.50. Futch that!
Peace yo, till next weekend - which is the beginning of the 3rd year of UTM for House 77. Expect a special report on the highlights of the summer for Raging Alcoholic Boy, including shout outs and burns. And then expect reports on upcoming events for September when I plan on being drunk many, many a night. Considering I won't have to D.D anymore!!!

RAGING ALCOHOLIC BOY DRUNK REPORT:
Weeeelll. This is the last weekend before I am officially on eight month vacation (for those who aren't in the know, an eight month vacation implies that school is really fecking easy, and is actually the vacation in my life, as opposed to summer, which is normally a living hell - though this year has changed that) And to kick it all off, I hit a bump with my car, and it started making the sexiest rattling noise ever. So what was that annoying, bad sounding noise that could have cost Paul hundreds of dollars? Was it the gearbox? The muffler? Some kind of really, really, really bad suspension breakage? Why, no. It was a branch...a fucking branch, haha. Must have got caught under my car on Thursday night after the huge storm we had up here, I distinctly remember hitting a ginormous branch in fact. And then when I hit the bump, it loosened the caught branch and it started to rattle. Genius, haha.
Anyway on to the drinking. Was a DAMNED good night last night. Last minute, an old friend from high school decided to give me a ring (as I had suggested, but forgot about) and was like "what's up?" So I told her, and was like "come out" haha and so she did. And so Danielle joined the party as the current House 70 crew of Brad, Drix and Nat came out with Eric and myself driving. We all headed down to Eclipse nightclub at 971 College (stupid mapquest is apparently incapable of directing us to it, we walked for like....a gooood half hour before we finally found the fucking place because I remembered the number on College...) and saw Red Pill Theory do their amazing thing. I was most definitely impressed, so cheers to the crew of that fantastic band. But yes, good times were had by all.
Oh, and sitting in the middle of a park in Toronto laughing about everyone and everything = fun times.
So, there u have it for the Friday of my last weekend before work is over folks. For tonight's edition: Edge Island!

A mother and her teenage daughter walk up to cash. "I'd like to return these two items," the mother says. The young handsome cashier handles the two items, one a sweater and the other pair of ultra tiny pink shorts. "I don't like how they fit on her," she frowns and stares down her daughter. The daughter continues to chew her gum. The cashier processes the return and sends them on their way. The cashier growing more handsome by the second walks around the store placing the sweater back in it's place. He checks around the women's section but is unable to find the same pair of shorts. Perplexed he asks a fellow employee where they go. "Ummm that belongs in baby's".
This chick was like 16-17... and she was wearing shorts for baby's 8-12 months old. Waddafuck?! It's funny and wrong at the same time... I'm not sure whether it's more funny or wrong... Maybe they equal out... nono it's funny... mmm no it's wrong... if she wore it to school it's funny... no that'd be wrong... funny... wrong... I feel like mint chocolate chip ice cream... My allergies have decided to grace me with their presence at the end of summer. I'm out of Clariton and Reacton, no worries I'll drop by Rona and pick up a sledge hammer to bash in my sinuses. It looks like I've been crying for hours but I swear it's these allergies. One quesion before I head out, are you feeling me yo?! go no banners! go allergies! go getaway car! vv\/VRR.oooOOOMMmm

ATTENTION!!
To all those Sloan fans, I am going to Edge Island on the 23rd of August to see the aforementioned band play live before me and one guest at some kickass little venue. Or so I hope, I have still been told diddly shit about WHERE they are fucking playing. Now, I am told that the show is just for the day, and that we will be back later that night (or early the next morning). In any case, I am still lacking the previously mentioned guest. Grovel with me and see if YOU can come. Having breasts are not a prerequisite but are always a plus, a nice attitude and lots of sucking up help also. And if you bribe me, you'll find I'm even more accomodating. Contact me!

Go bus bus bus. I neglected the fact that there were two bus stations in Ottawa, I almost got off at the Kanata Center (the wrong stop). Place looked dead and there was a scary lady shaking her finger at me through the window so I stayed inside. Luckily I guessed the right stop. Mrs.MacKenzie, Andy, and Mr.Barnes rolled in. Did the Andy tour, which consisted of hitting several bars. Buildings here remind me of wonderland buildings, you know the big ass ones? Yea I don't travel much. By the time we got back to Andy's house (which we had to break into cuz he forgot his keys) I was wasted and hungry. The monkey's natural habitat is pretty cool. Passed out for a bit. Later that night hit Minglewoods (Jigglewoods, cuz the ladies were tooooo much) and some place called Firestation. Good times. We'll be headed out to check out the infamous Deals Direct (click the DD at the bottom of the page. Mehhhhh (peace).

Woooo!! I was driving home, and a car was coming up really fast behind me. I was doing my regular speed, and for whatever reason, I was extra careful to slow down for the changes of speed limits and such. There was no particular reason, I just felt like it cuz I wasn't in a rush to go home. So as I am turning onto my road, the car that was behind me passed me...was a cop...anddddd because I had been doing like, exactly the limit, I was safe. Oh thank god, that could have REALLY sucked a lot.

Good lord, finally, internet, sweeet sweeet internet. Though I must admit, a total lack of orange glow from Toronto really rocked. I went up to Caledon hill to scope out what is normally a very very bright city, and what did I see? Blackness. Well...mostly anyway, there were some lights here and there, but dear god. The stars lit up, the moon came out nearly blood red. The air was sweet, it was quiet, and a cool breeze was blowing against my back. So I sat there on the hood of a truck, at the top of Caledon Hill, overlooking the beautiful night. Cars were travelling past, there headlights seemed so bright. When the moon got higher, the ghostly white glow it cast down on the landscape was breathtaking. It made me really appreciate the beauty of what is around us.
Then I got home and swore a lot cuz I wanted to get online and post that, haha. Oh my, can't have it both ways I suppose. Oh well, fun times, was a good night, tossed back some beers with my neighbour Brent, who is a cool guy, I haven't really chilled with him outside of work, so that was nice. Then as I said, I went to Caledon Hill with my buddy Adam and Rob...was cool to have friends to chill with, but oh my, how I wish I was with a certain young lady. You know who you are.

I find out that Greyhound is still running, which is cool. TTC is fuct, no one wants/can't go downtown, taxi would dent my spending money for Ottawa. I figure I can take the GO to Union and walk the rest to greyhound. Get my ass to Clarkson, the place is closed. So basically I'm picking my nose in sauga right now. Worst comes to worst I'll take a cab tomorrow morning to downtown. The power is back in some areas right now. Charish ended up coking rice here cuz her place was still brukk. Hopefully things will be alright so I can get this trip going. This delay just means a better, faster, more retarded time at the OT²-awa.
She got the power of the hoochie
I got the fever for the flava of the coochie
And did I mention, hey pay attention
Gonna take that bootie to the nudie dimension
I got the green glow under my car
I got the boom boom system you can hear real far

Raging Alcoholic Boy Drunk Report:
Well, last night was...different. I was dragged kicking and screaming to a party for this girl from work. To explain a few things, this guy Manny worked at Caledon Propane at the beginning of the summer, then his wife joined us, and then he quit, and his daughter started working there. His daughter is 16, her mother asked us all from work to join together at their house. I figured I would go and put in my time at the party and then head down to Mulligan's with Sauga folk. Wow was I mistaken.
Portuguese people are friendly. Too friendly. They basically pushed (forced) food and drink onto us (us being just Michelle and I from work for the longest time, holy crap I was happy when we got her sister Sherri -so sorry if that is spelled wrong - and then Sean and Tim showed up) Anyway we couldn't escape, so I didn't go to Sauga, which was a mixed blessing. By the end of the night in Bolton (oh lord...Bolton *shudder*) it was pretty cool, cuz the 16 year old sluts had all left, leaving us young adults and actual adults to chat and be a bit more...civilized. If you wanna call it that anyway, there were waaaayyy too many sexual jokes being spit haphazardly into the wind. I mean I enjoyed the evening, I just didn't like the fact that we were essentially forced to stay there. Bah.
Anyway, till next time.

RAGING ALCOHOLIC BOY DRUNK REPORT: SPECIAL EDITION!!!........
No it's not, I didn't go to the Beer Festival, I'd of only been there for like two and a half hours, and I'd of spent 25 bucks on like...5 ounces of beer. Instead, I spent the money on seeing Carrots of the Pirabbean, and two pints of beer. But yes, a few interesting tales are to be told:
George Strombolopolous of MuchMusic and 102.1 The Edge fame was at the movie theater with his lovely girlfriend whose name I BELIEVE is Janice, apologies to her even though she'll never read this, if that is indeed not her name. Anyway he is pretty cool, seemed like a nice guy, though he was clearly not in the mood to chat too long as he was out with his gf for a simple film, so I can understand.
Drivers in Ontario are getting worse and worse. Earlier on the way home from work, a guy was slowing down for a red light, but I dunno, I guess he thought it was going to change...or something....anyway he went straight the fuck through. Happily there was no other traffic, but jesus christ people...RED MEANS STOP!!!!! I cannot emphasize that concept enough. I don't care if there is absolutely no cars for 100 miles, red means stop. We made it a law for a bloody reason. Now, how does this tie in with my evening? Well, quite simple Watson, as I was driving home from T.O, I am coming up to Airport Road and Steeles. It is red for me, so I stop. The lights for Steeles go to Yellow, and I look at both sides, left then right, and wonder what idiot will run the red...wait...what's this...a car...is.........stopping....in...the INTERSECTION???? The bloody idiot contemplated running the red, then decided against it, not realizing he couldn't stop. What makes this better is that he blocks two lanes of traffic, and OOPS his car DIES. Right there. I proceeded to have to slowly make my way over two fucking lanes of very angry traffic, myself honking my horn profusely and giving the finger as violently as possible. The only thing that made that moment VERY good for me...was that the Police saw it. Oh god what a sweet taste that leaves on my lips.
Anyway not too much that is really exciting happened. Although I'd like to make one comment: Carrots of the Pirabbean rocks, like seriously, it's a fun film, but it's not a STUPID fun film. It does make fun of itself but it also takes itself seriously, and pulls off the swashbuckling zombie thing very nicely, and Johnny Depp does an excellent job (as always) as does Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom, although Bloom's character seems a bit poorly written, but that's not his fault.
Catch you on the flip side of a beer cap.

Waiting on Paul's report on beer fest. Is it Beer Fest? Beer Festival? Beergy? Whatever, I'm sober and Paul must be wasted off his ass. First it was his aviators, then his cordless mouse, now I'm just plain jealous of Paul Day. What makes Paul Paul? Well I asked Dictionary.com for a definition and this is what I found:
Paul Day (pôl da) n.
1.) A foolish or stupid person.
2.) A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers. The term belongs to a classification system no longer in use and is now considered offensive.
3.) One who finds customers for a prostitute; a procurer.

So four days until my final exam. These next few days are gonna suck harder than a shop-vac. After the exam I'm off to the O.T. to visit Captain MacKenzie. Hopefully work don't mind me gone for a few days. I think they're starting to hate me there, oh well I'll get the managers a fruit basket or something. Nothing like a smooth pear to cheer someone up. I also got my tuitition fees. Basically I got fucked with "retro-active" fees. I know it sounds funky, "retro-active" but it's basically charging me an additional cost to the CCIT courses I've already taken because I'm finally in the major. Why do they have to dance around the term "screw job"? I'm sure they'll eventually print our invoices on tissues so we can immediately wipe our tears after seeing the balance. If your tired of this crap I suggest you enrol in my school. BAH!
If you're free you'll never see the walls
If you're head is clear you'll never freefall
If you're right you'll never fear the wrong
If you're head is high you'll never fear at all

So today I worked despite the Civic holiday, except shortened hours. I heard some of the best words EVER come out of my boss' mouth too, "So even though we're done at 2 today, we still expect the full quota to be met." I looked around...Michelle was missing, so was Monique, and Ursula. Oh fuck. So I moved 17 skids basically myself. To those who aren't in the buiz, a skid is made up of either 36, 48, or 64 propane tanks, each weighing in at between 5 to 25lbs each, depending on how much propane might remain in the tank. I did the math, and I moved about 800 tanks in total because of the different types of skids. Now, I had to move them off the production line to a table where they would be sleeved by a co-worker. Then I would move them on to a skid where they'd eventually be taken away. So that means I moved each tank twice. So the equivalent of moving 1600 tanks. Now assuming they were all empty - which I assure you they all were not - that means I moved about 8000lbs worth of tanks today. Not to mention a truck I helped to empty, I can't imagine it was that many more, but probably another skid. So yah, suffice to say my arms are sore. My hair is a mess cuz of the sweating (oh thank you Mother Nature for sending us this wonderfully shitty weather). My eyes are burning also cuz of the sweating. My feet are aching, and my back is killing me.
To all you office workers with A/C who got today off:
FUCK YOU!
Oh yah, and Sparta's Collapse is a wicked song. I know I'm a bit behind on that bandwagon, but I only heard Cut Your Ribbon a few weeks ago, and did not know the awesomeness they possess until then.

God only knows why Hendrix hasn't posted this previously, but he is friends with a gentleman named Ricky, and Ricky, as many of us know, is a fantastic guitar player. Some of us don't know, however, that he has a band called Red Pill Theory. Now, Hendrix was showing me some art he did for them or did for himself, I'm not sure, but it was related to the band, and I checked out their website. Well, go to the media section, and download the songs, and listen. Wow is about all I have to say. Amazingly tight music guys, and yet it sounds like it just flows out of you like water coming down a waterfall, absolutely fantastic, my hat is tipped off to you.
