Well, my silver iPod Mini arrived. Yes. I am a part of popular culture. So sue me. Anyway, lovely little device. Can't get over how small it is. I saw Steffen's before but I still cant get over the size. It's just ridiculous.

Slight problem though.
I bought the "iPod Power Adapter Extra" by mistake. Turns out - that means it supports firewire, but USB. Sooo yah I'm kinda pissed at that, especially because to return it I have to spend money. AND they were going to make me pay a 10% repackaging fee because I opened the package. I got out of that though because NO WHERE on the damn package does it say "FIREWIRE" or even "Extra" which is what it is. So that is a nuisance. But all in all, love the damned thing. Sounds good.

However, I stand by my initial statement regarding iTunes. Hate the bloody program. Takes up WAY too much RAM. When Opera and iTunes run I am using between 90-120MB of RAM. That is altogether WAY too much.

Sorry for the tease... I honestly thought I would get a new layout in a manner of days. WELL THIS IS IT! Ta-daa!!! Nah seriously its coming, I promise. The HTML is in the mail. I couldn't deal without a place to rant and just talk shit, so hear we are. How about I describe it so I don't have to finish it? Well, its got bright colours and some text. There's a scrolly bar thingy on the side you can click and slide. There's plenty of bells but no whistles.

Just playing through 'My Recieved Files' playlist. Its a change from my overplayed music folder and its as diverse as the people who sent me the music. It goes from sappy, to fast, to convoluted and strange.

Jack Johnson-->Doves-->50 Cent-->Chronic Future-->Aphex Twin-->...
It also has tunes that ppl have mixed in their respective basements/studios.

I hope all your exams and essays are going well. I have one final on the third of May. I'm debating what to do once I finish that exam and leave the classroom. 40s and 24s may be in order. Tequila body shots at Pure Gold perhaps. A part of me wants to disappear for the day and just walk around Toronto. Whatever I do I want to be able to clear my head. I almost feel like I should justify my words and not sound so gaudy when I talk about the end of this year. Fuck that. I'm going to give myself some credit and celebrate. Even if that celebration is in the middle of of nowhere, I'm looking forward to the quiet moment where I can tell myself:

"Chill, you're finished."

I just completed my second 3000 word essay in two days. That makes something like 8700 words of writing in about four days. That's a lot.

So I start work tomorrow morning at 7am. Good ol Caledon Propane for another two months. She stinks like ass but I'll sure miss her. Actually no I wont, when I am out of there, its one week to Europe, and then I'll never return to that place.

Hey, I think this is the first essay I haven't finished within five hours of it being due since like second year. Crazy.

So...in other news...I AM DONE UNIVERSITY!!! ASHLIAGSLIAHSLAIHSLIAGSHAGSHKAGSKAHGSKAHGSAA THAT WAS MY LAST ESSAY EVER FOR UTM!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

*cough* Just had to get that out. See you all at the bar as a freeman people!

YAY FORENSICS!!!

I gots 95% on the freaking ballistics paper. Its the third highest mark in the class, wooooooot!!! Looking at the big picture it puts me at the bottom half of the class haha. I finish with a 57% in the course and that is fine by me.

Sociology and History still gotta treat me nice. Then I'll see you fools at the finish line.

So I found the techno song at the end of Oceans Twelve finally. It's called Thé à la menthe and is by Nikkfurie de la Caution...turns out that after the struggle to find it and play it...it grows old really, really fast. Dunno what it is...just...doesnt sound nearly as cool outside of the movie. Probably why it wasn't in the soundtrack. What a bust. Oh well.

At least I have the Arcade Fire and Death Cab for Cutie to keep me company.

She has been a busy few weeks. The pile of assignments have been widdled down to the last remaining exams. I feel like I've been pushed and pulled in every direction. I have a small amount of responsibility compared to everyone else, so I can only imagine how the rest of you must've felt. I am enjoying the abundance of get togethers and excess that follow the frustrations of school. I have seen levels of stupidity only a fourth year student can reach. The past three years were only prerequisites to this year's curriculum of debauchery.

A week of Yays and a Boo:
YAY KEGS
YAY RAPS
YAY GALA
YAY JIMMY POON
YAY STARS
YAY SESSIONS
BOO VOLCOM

I have one standing commitment then all hell breaks loose. Take pictures now because you won't recognize the trainwreck named drix. My conscience tells me to take things in moderation, to behave, and to party just enough to remember my name and address. Then I tell my conscience that it must out of it's mind and to loosen up with a couple of drinks.

Tomorrow will be a quiet day. I like quiet days as well. Chilling at Tracey's with some movies and a warm blanket. Its fucking 6:35am, I think maybe I should sleep.

Maybe.

Was a bittersweet day today as I handed in my second to last essay ever...and then had to freaking move home to finish up the last one, and have enough time to prepare myself for work on Monday. Shitty buzz but meh, Europe is not too far off.

In the meantime, I have ONE essay left. ONE last thing EVER for university. And then Monday I start at Caledon Propane again. In some ways I can't wait, in others it sucks that I'm nearly done and the adventure of House 77 - Episode 1 - The University Menacec, ends. However, stay tuned for House 77 - Episode 2 - Attack of the Graduates, and Episode 3 - Revenge of the Underpaid Undergraduate Workers

So its almost my turn to start talking about last essays. I am currently in the process of writing my second to last university essay. It's a bitch though, lemme tell you. I have only got 1000 words of 3000 with about four or five hours to go. Gonna be quite the trip to get this done. But it'll get done, that's all that matters. And I'll pass, again all that matters.

It's a bloody beautiful day out. I can't see any clouds from my window. It's warm, it's blue, it's amazing. It's hard to believe that in two days I will officially be done. And in three days I start work. Bleh. All I need to keep reminding myself of is the fact that the work is for a better cause. We booked our Nice hostel the other day, looks fantastic. It's actually got rooms with a view of the Med. Incredible, and we'll be in Europe in 82 days. haha when I put it that way, it seems like an eternity away. But its close in my mind.

Anyway, I'd best get back to this jazz.

ok, so this time i really am working on what should be my last "essay" for my undergrad career. and hey, at least it's pretty much over.

ccit gala last night was definitely fun. don't anyone be strangers. or something.

now, it's back to work one last time for me. then work tonight. then volcom sample sale and stars concert with jenny tomorrow.

just remember this maxim as expressed through the infinite wisdom of wayne campbell, "the right to party is a battle we have fought, but we'll surrender and go amish.... NOT!"

Well, it's been a week since the last day of class and now the celebrations must finally end. Because honestly, there CAN be too much drinking and partying when you still have work that's due. But damn has it ever been a lot of fun.

Last night was the gala. Oh what a time, predrinking was key. Sucks to be the rookies who were knocked out early because of that. Seriously they were done at like 7:30.

But yah, other than insane amounts of drinking, I took lots of great photos of everyone, and honestly, it was a really, really fun time. My hat's off to Mr.Quach who put together this whole wonderful thing, and I do hope that CCIT does something similar next year.

So yah, just...great times. And now its 10:30am and I am behind in my work. Peace out peoples.

Aight well, it's technically Monday now. But I figure this is a good enough time to review Friday.

Great.

I think it was my favourite kegger. The Widow Maker entertained many, there were boat races, keg stands, poker, lots of good friends, and cops! Eeee...yah, cops were iffy. But everything turned out great. Special shout outs to those who came to the pre-party business as well. That was a lotta fun.

So here is to the next kegger/party, whenever and where ever it may be. Let us hope soon, and in a house as great as House 70 has been for three years.

Today is the last day of class for University of Toronto students. Andy is currently finishing up his final class which makes him the last one of the house to be done.

So that was officially university people. We have exams or essays or whatever left. But all that's just gravy. Point is, that we have two and a half kegs of beer downstairs. And it's eager to be consumed. It calls to us. Beckons us to deliver it to the devine netherworld of alcohol. Let us answer its call and never look back.

So today is the day. I AM the Day. And Wednesday marks the day that this Day spends his last day in a university classroom. Currently I am smack dab in the middle of an exhillerating presentation in CCT391. You know I have gone to this class for four months and I still have no idea what the actual course title is. Information Visualization or something.

In about five hours I have VCC415. Don't know the title of that either. That is officially my last class. It's taught by Kaplan. The rest of 77 doesn't have fond memories of him but I like him - in a seminar format, he is a very good professor, and his enthusiasm (and massive grey-matter-filled head) really make learning about photographic theory rather interesting, maybe even fun.

...

...

Nah, not fun. But interesting.

Andy is staring over my shoulder.
I think I am going to punch him. And I'd like to point out that if we present either 11th or 12th in the class, his first beer on Friday must be chugged from start to finish in one go. If its 10th or 9th...I have to. Either way, everyone's a winner.

Okay now I really want to punch him.

Holy shit, this guy presenting in class sounds PRECISELY like my buddy Colin Parker. It's actually kinda scary. Mostly because the guy presenting is a tall, dark haired Arabian dude, and Colin is a short, scruffy white guy. Like, seriously, they sound precisely the same.

I'm out. Tune in to my next post, which will be post-class. I might be drunk by the time I get to the keyboard so watch out.

all i gotta say is "that's a nice coat you got there!"

it was great. in my opinion, i think it was the best translation of a comic book to a film that has even been made.
