1 more, 1 more. I need 1 more.
I'm off to the mall. If I don't make it back alive, someone tell my family I love them. Bury me under Hillcrest mall so I can haunt it's treacherous marble halls.
'Oooooo beware this mall for she will consume you with her eternal lines and frenzied shoppers. Get ooouuuuttt ooooOooo!'

hahahahahahhahahaha. Okay, this may be better than last years Lazy Sunday. Honestly, this year's SNL cast sucks ass, but this skit is just amazingly funny.
"Christmas - dick a box. Chanukah - dick in a box. Kwanzaa - dick a box. Every single holiday it's a dick a box. Over at your parents house a dick in a box Midday at the grocery store a dick in a box. Backstage at the CMA's a dick in a box...yeah...well, well, well, well, well." hahahahhahahahhaha

Kay, well, unless something else comes up that is REALLY good, I am stating that Brand New's The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me is pretty much my favourite album of 2006. More deep than BSS's genius self-titled album, more powerful than Alexisonfire's Crisis, less self-endulgent than K-Os' Hymns for Disco, and more complete than TV on the Radio's Return to Cookie Mountain (which is without doubt my next fav album of the year)...it's just awesome. Every single god damned song is amazing. I don't think I've ever appreciated listening to an album as a whole as I have this album. I don't find myself repeating one song over and over endlessly. I play it the whole way through, and then play it AGAIN the whole way through. It's fatastic. GO BUY IT.

For alternate weather minima, reading the TAF correctly to predict if your chosen alternate aerodrome is legal is an important skill as an IFR pilot.
If your intended ETA at your alternate is 2200Z, and the predicted weather reads:
TAF CYKF 031939Z 032005 24012G22KT P6SM BKN025 RMK FCST BASED ON AUTO OBS. NXT FCST BY 02Z=
...then you could probably fly, even with a non-precision approach. However, if the TAF were to have a TEMPO, BECMG, FM, or PROB 30/40 that could drastically alter your flight. If you had the weather above but also had:
TEMPO 2023 1/2SM OVC002 then you cannot fly due to the fifty percent chance of that weather occuring.
FM2200Z 24010KT 1/4SM VV002 then you also could not fly because the weather from that point onward would not meet alternate weather minima.
PROB 30 2202 1 SM OVC006 then you could probably file with that airport as your alternate as you don't need to use alternate weather minima for the approach, instead use the published approach weather minima straight out of the CAP.
BECMG 2023 1/8SM VV001 won't work because BECMG implies the weather will change sometime between the two given values - in this case 2000Z and 2300Z. The forecast doesn't know the specific time, and the weather is worse than the original forecast in the TAF, and thus we must use the first time in the range of times given, hence at 2000Z we can assume the weather is below alternate weather minima.
Conversely, if the weather was already below minima, and we read: BECMG 2023 P6SM SKC we still cannot use this airport as a legal alternate because if the weather shows an improving trend we cannot assume it will change until the last time given in the range, in this case 2300Z.
Food for thought there kids. Remember to ALWAYS pick your alternate based on a THOROUGH reading of the TAFs or GFA.
My entire weekend consisted of reviewing the rules for IFR flight in Canada. If someone had shown me this about a year ago, I'd of cried in the fetal position.
