Saw this guy open for RJD2 earlier in April, I think he should've been the main act. Seeing a poet fly off the handle and control the crowd with an intense stage presence and obscurity = awesome. Check SunshoweredIT redo.
Quick RJd2 show review: Mehhh (show consisted of him and some friends trying to transcribe his older mixes into pieces that could be performed with a live band. Concept, 10/10. Execution, 5/10. The problem was that they tried to follow his mixes note for note, crossfade for crossfade with a live band that lacked syngery and experience. It didn't exploit the energy of a live band and the songs stayed confined as covers).
I jammed on my first Marshall stack this weekend. Hype. I'm pretty sure I risked permanent hearing loss to experience it. I can see why there's so much love for the tone. It's beautiful... seriously.
